Pupusas, a bar, and the Mission District
Balompie is a Salvadoran pupusa spot with a bar and a sports bar's name. The same owner runs our two Mission District locations in San Francisco, and Hilltop in Richmond is the newest.
Mission District roots
Our San Francisco locations are on 18th Street and on Mission Street. Richmond has the same owner and, as one guest put it, the same tastes as the Mission.
Why we came to Hilltop
Hilltop is our newest spot, for everyone in the East Bay who wanted pupusas closer to home.
The pupusas
Start with pork, bean and cheese or steak and cheese. If you want queso con loroco and frijoles, just ask and we'll make it.
The room
It's a big space with a bar and stools, and there's plenty of room for larger parties.
