Best Latin American Restaurant in California

Just came in for the first time and asked if I can special request my favorite pupusa order thats usually not on the menu which is Queso con Loroco & frijoles and it was met with 0 hesitation and honestly some of the best pupusas that i've had in Richmond and let alone the Bay Area in a while. Service was immaculate, food was phenomenal, & Tamarindo was on point. 10/10 Recommended!

They just opened recently so they were still in the process of training new staff. So it was about a 30 minute wait to get our to go order. We had 4 pupusas... Pork/bean/cheese which was our fave, steak/cheese which was also excellent. The chiorizo was good and the veggies one lacked a bit of flavor. Overall, the pupusas were excellent and we would definitely go back!!!

Balompié has been a staple and household name for as long as I can remember. Being born and raised in San Francisco, my family and I would always go there for breakfast, so having a location in Richmond has been such a bonus! The food is amazing. I love Balompie. OMG! So good. So glad the same owner from SF Mission district opened up one in Hilltop, close by. We needed a good pupusas spot around here. Same tastes as the one in the mission. The place is definitely fairly new. Just opened up yesterday. Im pretty sure theyre going to add more chairs and tables and decor. We got greeted with great customer service.
